DC1400 - evolution of an old favourite

DSatchwell Controls has announced the launch of the DC1400 optimiser/compensator. Evolved from the popular Drayton DC1100, the new controller enjoys the same functionality and simple user-friendly controls, but is now designed to be compatible with the full current range of Satchwell temperature sensors. The DC1400 is a self-configuring optimiser/compensator, capable of controlling one or two boilers in sequence, with HWS time control.

It is designed to meet the demands of small/medium public and commercial properties and meets the major control requirements of the current building regulations.

Installing and commissioning the DC1400 is very straightforward.

The controller automatically selects the correct application according to the sensors connected to it, and fine tunes itself to match the requirements of the building.

By providing stable control conditions, the DC1400 eliminates boiler short cycling during light load conditions, thereby increasing equipment life and reducing energy and service costs.

The DC1400 provides an easy and effective user interface, eliminating the need for special training and minimising call-outs.

The controller's output status is clearly indicated by an array of LED's, while a front panel selector switch provides a choice of operating modes plus a SET position to change times and temperatures.

The default display screen shows the time, date, selected temperature, and current operating status.

The display can also be used to view alarms and to change settings.
