New from ATC Semitec, the CH series pipe-clip thermal sensor uses the company's latest NTC thin-film technology. The cost-effective CH sensor has been designed to replace the intrusive probe sensor in central heating boilers. Instead of having to drill and tap a suitable entry port for a probe-style sensor, the CH sensor simply clips over the water pipe (covering diameters from 12-22mm) and is held in place by a stainless steel clip.
This clip secures the sensor firmly against the pipe surface and thus ensures a fast thermal response (sub-1s) and accurate control of the water temperature.
The CH sensor boasts an accuracy of +/-1K at 85C and is available with a range of resistance values to match the various industry-wide controls available.
The clip sensor also simplifies maintenance as it can be simply unclipped and replaced with another, without the need to drain the water system.
