The new model is a derivative of Worcester's top of the range Greenstar CDi combi boiler and offers an appliance with a larger output for properties that have a preference for stored hot water. Currently in the range are the Greenstar 12i and the 24i system boilers, with the 30CDi now offering a solution for larger properties.
The boiler contains Worcester's unique WB5 heat cell, a purpose designed condensing component for A rated appliances only.
This advanced aluminium-silicon heat cell has an extra large surface area that cools the flue gases to around 55 degrees centigrade allowing the boiler to extract more heat from the gas it burns, releasing less into the atmosphere and making the appliance more efficient.
It also includes a hydraulic block, which holds the hydronic components in one place providing improved quality and reliability.
This reduces pipework, saving time and money and with fewer connections in the boiler it minimises the risk of leaking.
The 30CDi control system is the heatronic III circuit board, this means the installer doesn't have to purchase any additional features usually associated with boiler controls.
It also comes equipped with the EMS bus connector making it compatible with all seven of Worcester's plug in twin channel controls including its latest intelligent controls the TD200 Text Display.
The appliance comes with a wall mounting jig, has a 7.5kW to 30kW output and two flueing options - the 100mm Condensfit II extends to 7.9m horizontally and 9.4m vertically and the 125mm diameter option, up to 18.5m both horizontally and vertically.
There is the option to specify an inbuilt diverting valve allowing the installer to take the boiler to an 'intelligent level'.
The diverting valve, directs the primary water where to go and when.
It also recognises the cylinder and hot water temperature and so will modulate the output of the boiler on hot water and heating modes making it more efficient by condensing more often.
The Greenstar 30CDi is compatible with Worcester's Greenskies Solar water heating system, offering the homeowner the ultimate in high efficiency heating and hot water comfort
