More than twenty major plant, engineering and maintenance companies have confirmed that they will be exhibitors at PEMEC 2006, a brand new regional exhibition, conference and seminar event taking place at Newbury Exhibition Centre, Berkshire on the 25-26th October 2006. Amongst those who have backed the event, that has engineering efficiency as its central theme, are igus, Flir, SPM, Byworth Boilers and Kluber Lubrication. Paul Sacker, Sales and Marketing Manager of Flir Systems said of the newly launched event: 'Flir Systems is pleased to be participating in a strong regional show serving its core plant maintenance and condition monitoring businesses.
Regional shows have worked well for us in the recent past and we have high hopes for PEMEC.
Thames Valley is a significant business region for us and we are looking forward to meeting new customers and helping them improve their plant maintenance strategies.' Launched specifically to cater for the need of engineering professionals to have access to high quality educative seminars and conferences as well as equipment providers without having to travel great distances the PEMEC 06 event will represent a valuable use of time.
All of the content takes place under one roof and the venue iseasily accessed from the M4.
Additionally, Newbury has 3000 free car parking spaces and an on-site railway station.
Many of the exhibitors at PEMEC 06 will be using the event to launch and show new technology.
Flir Systems, for example, will be showing its new entry-level InfraCAM that redefines its established E-Series range.
The new ThermaCAM E300 is Flir Systems' second E-Series 320 x 160 pixel infrared camera, a feature that provides superior thermal imaging performance.
However, by comparison with its nearest competitor this new addition is smaller, lighter and has a choice of lenses.
As well as new technology PEMEC 06's seminars and conferences will address key current issues affecting the efficiency, safety and longevity of plant and equipment.
Among those due to deliver papers will be such well-respected organisations as the EEF, ESTA and BCAS with more to be announced in the coming months.
Topics to be addressed include: automation and wireless control; effective energy management; making sensors work for you; compressed air; maintenance strategy; thermography and health and safety.
Located just off the M4 motorway on the Newbury Racecourse site, the Newbury Exhibition Centre's facilities are second to none having just been subject to a major redevelopment.
The site is easily reached from London, the South Coast and of course the M4 corridor and the South West.
