Single or dual channel gas analysis

Emerson Process Management has introduced the Rosemount Analytical X-Stream series of process gas analysers. The X-Stream analysers use appropriate non-dispersive infra-red, ultraviolet and visible spectroscopy, with the sensors selected to use thermal conductivity measurements or paramagnetic and electrochemical oxygen detection technologies. The analysers provide single or dual channel analysis using the Rosemount dual optical bench, and provide real-time control to help users fine-tune their processes for increased productivity and profitability.

'The X-Stream products, developed here in Europe, are a new generation of process gas analysers from Emerson that promise optimal performance in demanding applications with minimal installation and maintenance costs', said Bernd Thalmann, European Marketing Manager for Rosemount Analytical process analysers.

'X-Stream analysers feature extended ambient temperature ranges suitable for on-plant operation, and a user-friendly alphanumeric display with multiple languages selectable during operation'.

'With direct analogue and digital outputs, status signals and a serial interface with Modbus communication, this product will improve the process efficiency and profitability of plants worldwide'.

Many of the major applications of X-Stream analysers involve measurements of oxygen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide or hydrogen to provide process control, detect contamination or monitor process safety.

This applies in refining and petrochemical and chemical plants.

Atmosphere control, safety monitoring and flue gas analysis applies to metallurgical furnaces and heat treatment, power boilers, process furnaces and incinerators.

The units are also used in natural gas distribution monitoring, hydrogen and air separation plant, landfill and biogas monitoring.

The analysers are available in either a rack mountable or tabletop version, or a field mounting IP66 and NEMA 4X version that can be purged or pressurised for Atex-approved installation in zones one or two hazardous areas.

An explosion-proof housed version will be available shortly. Request a free brochure from Emerson Process Management....
